9 September 2019

Reading FC Women are very happy to welcome Lisa-Marie Karlseng Utland from FC Rosengård.

Striker Utland, who was part of both the 2015 and 2019 Norwegian FIFA Women’s World Cup squads, has scored fifteen times for her national side including a goal in this summer’s tournament against Nigeria.

She signed for Swedish side Rosengård in 2018 and scored 15 goals in her sole season playing in the top flight of Swedish football.

Utland completes a trio of Norwegian internationals signed by the club this summer, following hot on the heels of Kristine Leine and Amalie Eikeland. Utland previously played alongside Leine at Norwegan club Røa IL in 2017 where she scored an impressive 17 goals in 20 appearances.

“Lisa-Marie will be a great addition to my squad," manager Kelly Chambers said. “She is a fast and extremely powerful player who brings something very different to the side. Lisa-Marie will fit in very well with the rest of the team and I’m really excited to work with her.”
