The BBC will broadcast Reading Women’s away fixture against Manchester United on Sunday October 27th, with the match being shown on BBC iPlayer and the Red Button service.
The match at Leigh Sports Village, Greater Manchester, kicking off at 12.30pm, will mark the second time this season that Royals women will have had a WSL fixture broadcast by the BBC.
On the opening weekend of the campaign, Kelly Chambers’ side travelled to Prenton Park to take 3 points from Liverpool with a 1-0 away win, the victory being broadcast via the Red Button.
Casey Stoney’s Manchester United Women have had a tough introduction to the WSL since their promotion, playing last season’s runners-up Manchester City in their opening match followed by champions Arsenal the following week, losing both games 1-0.
The Manchester derby was contested in front of a record Women's Super League crowd of 31,213 at the Etihad Stadium.
Reading FC Women will be looking to capitalise on a largely positive start to their 2019-20 campaign with the aforementioned Liverpool win and last Sunday’s 4-0 Continental Cup hammering of Tottenham Hotspur Women sandwiching their lone defeat of the season to Manchester City.
