As a response to this moment of extreme emergency, Macron, the Italian leading company in technical sportswear manufacturing, has launched the no-profit project “Stop Covid-19/Macron #noicisiamo”
The company is utilising its production and logistics organisation in Asia and in Italy for the manufacturing and distribution of personal protective equipment, such as FFP2 and surgical masks, hospital grade overalls and gowns for healthcare workers, operators of civil protection and for law enforcement personnel.
For this project, the company has put its entire operational and logistic system to work, both in Italy and internationally.
In less than 10 days, Macron has activated a large scale production of several types of protective equipment that will be transported via special charter flights to the company’s distribution centre in Bologna.
After that, the company will proceed to distribute the products throughout Italy. The first 8 million pieces are expected to arrive over the course of next week.
All products conform to the highest medical standards and certifications, and the entire production process is strictly monitored by Macron inspectors.
In compliance with the new norms imposed by the Italian government, at this moment Macron is only distributing the devices in Italy. In the hope that our country will soon overcome this unprecedented health emergency and as soon as it is logistically possible, Macron will be ready to expand the distribution to other European and non-European countries where the Italian brand is already present.
“It seemed natural to us to offer our know how and supply chains in a moment of such difficulty for our country and for the entire world," declared Gianluca Pavanello, Macron CEO.
"In Asia, we have a well-structured organisation that is able to handle the production of various types personal protective equipment, items that these days have become highly necessary.
"As a result, we gave life to the no-profit project “Stop Covid-19/Macron #noicisiamo”. I am extremely proud of the efforts and commitment all of us have shown in this moment, and by the ability to promptly react to the emergency that has been demonstrated."
The project “Stop Covid-19/Macron #noicisiamo”, that follows on from the company’s donations to the Policlinico Sant’Orsola in Bologna, is yet another sign of support and participation in the eventual victory in the most challenging match, one where the health and the future of our country is at stake.
The logo of the Italian company is the Macron Hero, which symbolises the joy at the end of a trial, the achievement of a goal. Never before has the Macron spirit and philosophy coincided so deeply with a global challenge as now.
