After completing the same journey on Friday night, it's all eyes on South Wales once more as a place in the last 16 of the FA Cup awaits the victors...
Cardiff City vs Reading
Tuesday 4th February 2020, 7.45pm kick-off
Emirates FA Cup Fourth Round Replay
Cardiff City Stadium
It's safe to say that, after the last fortnight, Reading and Cardiff City have got to know each other pretty well. This will be the third and final meeting between the teams in the space of 10 days, with neither team emerging victorious in their first two encounters.
There were parallels in both 1-1 draws, too, with Yakou Méïté netting for the Royals on both occasions and Callum Paterson of the Bluebirds doing the same in league and cup.
With a place in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup at home to Sheffield United the prize for the winners on Tuesday night, a result will be guaranteed in the replay - with extra time and penalties available if necessary.
A fiery match took place on Friday night as the teams jostled for all three points, but they ended up settling for a point apiece on the night.
In the Emirates FA Cup so far this season, Mark Bowen has opted for mass rotation as he keeps his squad sharp for the remainder of the Championship campaign - with a seven-game February following on from the nine played in January.
Felipe Araruna and Ayub Masika completed moves to the club late in the January transfer window, but as they were not registered in time for the first outing between the teams, they will be unavailable for this match and could make their debuts at home to Hull City on Saturday.
It'll be straight knockout on the night in the famous old competition, and we would love to see you there backing the boys on Tuesday night.
