Reading’s tie at home to Sheffield United in the Fifth Round of the Emirates FA Cup will take place on Tuesday 3rd March at Madejski Stadium.
The Royals will host their Premier League opponents for a place in the last eight of the famous old knockout competition under the lights in RG2, kicking off at 8pm on the night.
Mark Bowen’s side advanced in replays in the two earlier rounds of the tournament, but this will not be the case against the Blades – the tie must be decided on the night at Madejski Stadium.
At the end of the night, one team will be a quarter-finalist. The other's FA Cup journey will have come to an end. It's winner takes all on a Tuesday night at the Madejski!
We are pleased to confirm that, for the visit of Premier League Sheffield United, ticket prices will remain unchanged from when the Royals hosted League One Blackpool and the Championship's Cardiff City.
With a place in the last eight at stake on the night and a top flight side currently sitting in sixth in the Premier League our visitors, an Adult ticket purchased in advance will cost just £10 - fantastic value as we get behind the Royals for a cup night that promises to be a cracker!
Those aged 65 & Over or between 18-24 can come to the cup tie for just £7, while fans aged 17 & Under will part with just a fiver if they secure a seat in advance of the tie!
And we can also confirm that Sheffield United have not opted to take their full entitlement of tickets in the South Stand on the night – so Club 1871 will be open and seats will be unreserved in this section for Royals supporters for this match!
So let's back the boys and make some noise!
All ticket sales for this Emirates FA Cup match will begin on Monday 10th February at 9am. Season Ticket Holders will have until 9am on Monday 17th February to claim their usual seat, before the seats are then released for general sale.

This tie is a repeat of a Fourth Round tie between the sides in 2013, when the Royals comfortably came out on top on the day with a 4-0 win at Madejski Stadium - with a brace from Noel Hunt supplemented by strikes from Mikele Leigertwood and Garath McCleary.
However, the Blades are a different beast this season as they ride on the momentum that took them up and continue to compete for European qualification places in the Premier League. And the game could also be the focus of a little sibling rivalry as Reading's Sam Baldock will welcome his brother George to the Madejski!
