Reading FC Women’s undefeated month of February in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League sees midfielder Jade Moore grab a goal and assist on her way to a nomination for Player of the Month.
Moore has been a lynchpin in the Royals midfield, being involved in both goals in the 2-0 victory against West Ham at Adams Park on February 12th. Moore scored from a clever free-kick routine between Fara Williams and Amalie Eikeland, before providing the assist for Brooke Chaplen’s goal, which sealed the victory for Kelly Chambers’ Reading.
February was a quiet month for WSL sides, with several games being postponed due to adverse weather across the country, but Reading’s victory against West Ham and 1-1 draw with Manchester United see them end the month in 5th place in the league, just two pointe behind United in 4th.
The other nominees for the WSL Player of the Month alongside Moore include Chelsea’s Ann Katrin-Berger and Beth England, Bristol City’s Gemma Evans and Lauren Hemp of Manchester City.
You can vote for your Barclays WSL Player of the Month here, with voting closing Monday 2nd March at midday.
