Reading have made one change from the team that last lined up in the Sky Bet Championship, with Tyler Blackett replacing the injured Tom McIntyre.
Despite McIntyre remaining sidelined, skipper Liam Moore is fit to come back into the fray after missing the Royals' midweek win at Cardiff in the Emirates FA Cup through injury.
Rafael returns between the posts for the Royals, and Sam Baldock will lead the line with Yakou Méïté, who scored against Cardiff for the third time in a row on Tuesday night.
Fellow scorers in midweek, Omar Richards and Andy Rinomhota are among the substitutes on Saturday, as is new signing, Felipe Araruna, who could make his Reading debut off the bench this afternoon.
Several players who went through 90 minutes and extra time in midweek start, with Michael Morrison, Chris Gunter, John Swift and Méïté having all gone the distance against the Bluebirds.
Sone Aluko, Charlie Adam and George Pușcaș are all on the bench for the Royals this afternoon as well, and could come on to make an impact during the match.
