On consecutive Saturdays, Reading will be making a long journey up to Yorkshire – next weekend is Leeds, but first stop is Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday.
After pushing the Championship pace-setters close in midweek, the players will dust themselves down quickly before getting on the road again. Three more points up for grabs.
“It’s a long season and we’ve got another 14 games to go, starting with our long trip up to Sheffield this weekend,” said boss Mark Bowen.
“We’ll go home after the game against West Brom and have a short recovery and turnaround time yet again – it doesn’t afford us a lot of time on the training ground.
“So we just have to recover, and get our gameplan together before we travel up on Friday.
“We will have a good look at them, and work out how we can hurt them – and how we can stop them from hurting us, too. That’s the message all the way through for us.
“We can compete with anybody, I know that. We’re in games to get points. We won’t take our eyes off the ball – we’ll go again on Saturday and come away with something.”
