Nottingham Forest vs Reading
Wednesday 22nd January, 7.45pm

Sky Bet Championship
The City Ground

Wednesday night's encounter against Nottingham Forest will see the Royals play the game in hand that has been hanging over them since October, with the planned reverse at The City Ground in October postponed due to a waterlogged pitch on the day.

Both teams will know plenty about each other, though, with the teams facing off at Madejski Stadium 10 days ago in a match that came alive in second-half stoppage time. A 95th-minute goal from Ben Watson looked to have won it for the visitors, but Jordan Obita's arrowed cross was turned in by Tobias Figueiredo to rescue a point on the day for Mark Bowen's side.

Forest are flying high in the Championship table at the moment, currently occupying a place in the Play-Offs. They also come into Wednesday's match after coming from behind to beat relegation-threatened Luton Town on Sunday at The City Ground.

The Royals will head to the banks of the River Trent on Wednesday in the hope of returning with three points, particularly after losing for the first time since the start of December at the weekend against in-form Millwall.

Lucas João and Andy Yiadom remain absent for the Royals on the night, with a hectic run of four games in 10 days starting for Reading on Wednesday evening - rounding off a January that sees them play nine times in the calendar month.

There's going to be a nip in the air in Nottingham on Wednesday night, although it's not due to be as cold as it has been for the past few nights. Layers are still required, however.

It's a fair old way to go on a Wednesday night for travelling Royals, albeit not as far as Blackpool last week!

From Reading, the quickest route to Nottingham looks to be up the M40 and across to the M1, but check local traffic on Wednesday for the most up-to-date information.
