If Reading successfully get past Blackpool in their Emirates FA Cup Third Round replay, their reward will be a home tie against Cardiff City or Carlisle United in the Fourth Round.
Barring selection for TV coverage, Reading's replay against the League One side at Bloomfield Road will take place on Tuesday 14th January at 7.45pm, with the winner advancing to Round Four on the weekend of Saturday 25th January.
Cardiff City of the Championship and Carlisle of League Two will also need another match to determine the winner of their tie, after the teams drew 2-2 on Saturday afternoon.
The Fourth Round draw took place in the build-up to Arsenal hosting Leeds United live on BBC One on Monday night, following on from an entertaining 2-2 draw between the Royals and Blackpool at Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Tickets for the Royals' replay will go on sale in due course for Reading fans making the journey to Bloomfield Road, and advance prices will mirror those from the weekend's encounter at Madejski Stadium, and will be available to buy soon from ticketing.readingfc.co.uk.
It is also worth noting that, with both Reading and Bristol City being taken to a replay in the Emirates FA Cup Third Round, the date for our home match against the Robins in the Sky Bet Championship remains subject to change.
If either or both clubs advance in the FA Cup from their respective replays, the league fixture which is scheduled to take place at 3pm on Saturday 25th January, will instead be rearranged for a later date.
Ticket, date and kick-off information for this match will be confirmed in due course, once the outcomes of both FA Cup replays have been decided.
