🗳️ Vote for your December Goal of the Month

Four goals to choose from our festive schedule of fixtures

6 January 2020

Three wins, two draws and one loss - conceding five and scoring 11 with four clean sheets.

The hectic schedule of December finished well and truly blossomed, with the Royals reaching a season-high and clocking on a five-game unbeaten status. This has now extended to seven, with a win and draw in January.

Within the six-game Christmas period, some brilliant team goals and individual efforts were seen. And now is your opportunity to vote for the Goal of the Month for the festivities.

Goal One was witnessed by the Madejski crowd, a delightful team goal resulted in John Swift laying it on a plate for Lucas João to hammer home, putting the Royals 2-0 up.

Goal Two was some Boxing Day magic from Swift. The game was fairly well-contested until a 25-yard strike on the bounce separated the sides.  That goal came in the form of a corner from Charlie Adam, eventually being cleared by QPR, but subsequently falling to Swifty in that dangerous area. The ball rocketed goalwards and landed perfectly in the top corner.

Goal Three was the perfect counter-attack move form the Royals. A visit to Deepdale to face an in-form Preston North End witnessed a brilliant team-goal, starting with a bolting run from Adam across midfield, slipping through Ejaria in the process. The ball goes back to Adam who first-time slips in a perfect through pass to Tyler Blackett, who had made the dash from his defensive lines all the way to the Preston penalty area, only to drag the ball back to Swifty who was clinical with the finish.

Lastly, Goal Four was to be João's fourth goal of the month, and Tyler Blackett made his name onto the assist sheet for the second time that afternoon, sliding in Lucas who had no issues with slotting home, doubling the lead for Reading.

Four great choices, you decide! Voting ends Thursday at 12pm - GET VOTING, ROYALS!
