We’ve had the opportunity to have plenty of say about what’s going on around the bottom end of the table, since the restart.
Wins against Luton and Charlton and draws against Stoke and Huddersfield have denied points to some of those sides who need them most – and have ensured that our Championship status is secured for another year, too.
And it doesn’t stop there, as Middlesbrough – who are positioned a precarious two points above the dotted line – are our next guests on home turf.
Two wins and four defeats since the restart for Boro means they’re just about above the trap-door, but things could change in an afternoon. So Tuesday evening’s 6pm kick-off at Madejski Stadium will have plenty riding on it.

Manager Mark Bowen: “You only need to have one or two players who are going through the motions a bit, and you won’t win. It’s as simple as that. Fine margins, refereeing decisions… all these things contribute, every weekend, to whether you get points on the board or you don’t. So we need to be fully focused in every game.
“I’ve got a hell of a lot of respect for Neil and what he’s done in this division. He’s the king of it. He gets the best out of his team and seems to get results week in, week out. He’ll look at us and try to find faults in our game, any weaknesses, and try to exploit them. So we need to make sure we’re well prepared.”
Defender Michael Morrison: “Neil Warnock has gone in there at Middlesbrough – he knows how to win games and sort his teams out. He’s got that little magic touch, where he can get the right results and gets the group battling together in the right direction.
“They’ve got top talent there, with Assombalonga and Fletcher up front. They’re a real threat. We’ll have to be ready to match that – like we were at Charlton – and to show our quality.”
A polite reminder to all of our supporters that no unauthorised access at all will be permitted to any of our home or away fixtures while games remain behind closed doors, so supporters must not travel to stadia on matchdays. All supporters have the opportunity to watch via iFollow.
We can’t wait to see you all soon – but for now it’s important that when we play, please stay away.
