🗯️ "Outplayed, beaten all over the pitch...there are no excuses"

"We have to puff out our chests, put the shoulders back and be right from minute one on Saturday"

We all want to forget last night's defeat to Brentford happened. But the players need to take on board all that went wrong with the solid intention to make it right ahead of a visit to Kenilworth Road at the weekend.

"We’re incredibly disappointed," capting Liam Moore said after the 3-0 loss to the Bees. "We were outplayed, beaten all over the pitch. 3-0 at home, there are no excuses. It's so disappointing.

"Brentford are a good team – that’s clear. But they rolled us over. And we need to do better both as individuals and a team.

"We have willing workers here – the yards that are being put in you can’t argue with. But we need to be smarter in the way we work – you can’t put the effort in as individuals, it has to be done together as a team.

"We’re all so frustrated. We come into training and work hard, we really do. Hard work isn’t a question right now. The lads have knuckled down, training as been good, but on the pitch is where it matters – and we haven’t been able to pick up enough points since we started back. So when you put in a performance like last night and get beaten 3-0 at home, it’s so disappointing.

"As captain, I feel a big responsibility to get points on the board and it has to start on Saturday.

"Everybody needs to brush themselves down very quickly. We have to get this game out of our system, puff out our chests, put the shoulders back and continue to work.

"We have to move forward very quickly. We need to go to Luton well prepared and we have to grind out a performance and a result. We will focus on the here and now. And that means a trip to Luton on Saturday, where we have to be right from minute one."
