Our last home match against Barnsley doubled up as our annual 'Blue Light' day, where we celebrate the work of those who work in our local emergency services.

We didn't quite realise at the time how apt it would be to support our emergency service workers at our last home game. But now, more than ever, we are heralding the work they do to keep us safe in Reading and the surrounding areas.
At Madejski Stadium last month, we invited local police, fire and ambulance crews down to show off the equipment they use on a daily basis and talk to the people they help to protect all year round.
Young Reading supporters could also climb inside a fire engine, sit in the back of a police van and take a peek inside a working ambulance. Not only that, working police dogs also came and made a visit to the Madejski!
A good day was had by all, not least because the Royals took three well-earned points on the day!
We would like to thank the emergency services once again for the risks they take on a daily basis to help keep us safe.
Now is the time to do your bit to help all the staff having to work through unique times for our country.
