Reading Football Club are delighted to announce a new partnership with Reading Scientific Services Limited (RSSL), becoming an Official Partner for both our 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons.
RSSL is a cutting-edge contract research organisation providing scientific research, analysis and consultancy solutions to the global food, pharmaceutical, healthcare and biopharmaceutical industry for more than three decades.
Based on the Reading University campus, RSSL is a local business who pride themselves on delivering excellence in top notch science with a team of 300 who together help develop new products and solve many industry challenges on a daily basis – and they were recently named as ‘Business of the Year’ in the Thames Valley.
This partnership brings together two local brands with shared values - bringing together people of all ages and cultures, creating and sharing moments of joy where we make the difference, as well as celebrating and supporting our local community.
RSSL are particularly looking forward to engaging with Reading Football Club’s Community Trust to enhance life skills, education and increased career readiness for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people in Reading and the surrounding community.
As part of the partnership, RSSL will see their branding prominently displayed on the back of our first team shorts this season and in our 150th anniversary campaign in 2021-22.
Their company brand will also feature on the front of the shirts of our Academy teams over the course of the next two seasons as well as all our youth-sized replica kits in the Fanstore.
Tim Kilpatrick, Reading Football Club’s Head of Sales and Partnerships, said “Since our very first meeting with RSSL, there was a clear synergy between us. RSSL’s attachment to Reading and the wider Thames Valley area meant our club – placed at the very heart of the Reading community - was a natural partner for them and we are thrilled to form a strong bond with such a successful, innovative local business.
"I’d like to welcome RSSL to the Royals family and we look forward to working on some brilliant initiatives together.”
Jacinta George, RSSL’s Managing Director, shared "We are very excited and proud to be collaborating with Reading Football Club. Many of the values we see in Reading FC reflect our own family and community commitment and our determination to strive to be the very best.
"We are delighted to support the Royals’ in their aims and ambitions for the future and look forward to bringing the beautiful game and beautiful science closer together.’’
