Aluko, an Academy graduate of Birmingham City, whose stadium hosts this evening's game against Coventry, replaces Yakou Méïté, who is unavailable this evening.
Onto the bench comes Ethan Bristow, while Royals Academy graduate Dominic Hyam is in the starting line-up for the Sky Blues.
