The Royals have made three changes to the side that beat Cardiff on the road last weekend.

For the visit of Watford, Sone Aluko starts his first league game for the Royals since February 2019 - a 2-1 home win over Blackburn Rovers.

George Puscas starts up front for the Royals for the injured Lucas Joao - who is named on the bench though, despite suffering a dislocated shoulder in the Welsh capital last weekend.

Ovie Ejaria drops out of the squad, while John Swift, Andy Yiadom and Felipe Araruna are all absent through injury; Tom Holmes replaces the latter in the starting line-up.

Subs: Bachmann, Troost-Ekong, Cleverley, Sema, Murray, Quina, Pussetto.
