Reading FC Women will be playing once at home and twice away in the group stages of the Continental Cup this season as Kelly Chambers’ side look to improve on last season’s Quarter-Final.
Earlier in the month the Royals learnt their opponents in Group D would be fellow Barclay’s FA Women’s Super League sides West Ham and Brighton & Hove Albion, and Charlton Athletic from the Women’s Championship, but now dates and venues for the fixtures have been revealed.
The inaugural Conti-Cup match comes next month, as Charlton visit Madejski Stadium on Wednesday 7th October for an evening kick-off.
Games away at West Ham and Brighton follow in November on the 4th and 18th, respectively.
Last season, Chambers’ Royals qualified in second place in their group, behind Chelsea, who Reading beat on penalties after a 1-1 draw in the final group-stage game. Reading eventually bowed out in the Quarter-Finals to Arsenal due to a late Kim Little goal for the eventual-finalists. The Quarter-Final making it three straight appearances in the knock-out stages for the Royals since the change in format, having reached the same stage the previous year and the Semi-Final in 2017-18.
