New Royals boss Veljko Paunović is in the dugout for the first time this afternoon and he has named his team for our first league encounter of the 2020-21 campaign.

He hands Josh Laurent his league debut in a Reading shirt and starts Ovie Ejaria in his first game as a permanent Royals player!

Lucas Joao unsurprisingly starts up front after his hat-trick against Colchester United in the cup last weekend, while young left-back Ethan Bristow is named as a substitute.


Andy Yiadom starts in his first appearance for the Royals since the beginning of March, while Liam Moore wears the captain's armband at Pride Park.

For Derby, former Royals midfielder George Evans is on the bench alongside former England star Wayne Rooney.
