Royals shot stopper Rafael has described Veljko Paunović’s squad as a family, and more than teammates as they look to return to winning ways with a Tuesday evening trip to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City.
The Brazilian is confident the team will push each other all the way for the benefit of their season.
He said: “Tuesday we go again, we’ll be excited for the next game. This game gives us power to do better.
“Tomorrow we will be in our training ground, we will be ready, and we will prepare for the next game and show our quality.”
“This is an amazing team, like I said before, like family, everybody’s friends so we’re going to push each other and keep going on our way.”
The keeper, who has kept 12 clean sheets so far this season, is aware of the quality the Robins have on display, despite them coming into the fixture on the back of a heavy 6-0 defeat to Watford.
He added: “They have a good team, good players and good quality so we know it will be a difficult game. We have to see what we can improve and we will do it.
“We have amazing staff and amazing players and everybody wants to improve. We have to be positive, we believe in each other.”
