💪 "We stay together, stay united and strong. Now we must react."

Royals boss gives in insight into how he plans to rally his troops ahead of Tuesday night's trip to Ashton Gate...

Defeats are part and parcel of football. But Pauno is determined turn the weekend's disappointment into a positive for the team and their approach to the first of 17 league games remaining this season.

"Now, we will look to lift our guys," the Royals boss said. "We all feel responsible for the defeat on Saturday and we keep ourselves accountable for our decisions.

"There is no time, no permission for disappointment or withdrawal. We will help them recover as soon as possible and we move on.

"Consistency pays off and at the weekend we lost that consistency. Our punishment was losing the game. On Sunday and Monday, recovery has been the most important thing as well as preparing the shape and structure of the team."

The Royals travel to Bristol City on Tuesday night looking to return to winning ways - but the Robins will be looking for a strong reaction of their own after a thumping defeat at Vicarage Road at the weekend.

"We have seen in the past that our team is capable of recovering, lifting it and turning things around," Pauno continued. "So this is what we are looking for and we don’t want to lose time...we must immediately react. We must bring back the performances of the past month.

"We have to use Saturday's defeat to stay together and stay united and strong. We have to show we are ready for this challenge.

"The most important thing is to give support to everyone because they deserve it. Saturday was a defeat but its not the end of the road and definitely not the end of our season."
