19-year-old goalkeeper Jökull Andrésson has been called up to Iceland's U21 squad for a three day training camp set to take place in early June.
Previously capped by his country at U17 and U19 level, Andrésson will be keen to impress during the camp as he continues to progress through his nations's age groups at pace.
Having recently completed the 2020-21 campaign impressing on loan with Exeter City, Jökull will continue his growth throughout the summer starting with a few days amongst his fellow country men under the guidance of U21s boss Davíð Snorri Jónasson.
Iceland's youngsters will begin their quest for qualification for the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in September and Andrésson can be hopeful that demonstrating what he has to offer in camps like this could help him book a spot in their squad for the qualifiers.
In 2019, Andrésson who kept 12 clean sheets for the Grecians this season, represented Iceland U19 on four occasions, taking his tally of international caps to five.
