Welsh international defender Lily Woodham joined Reading in 2018 at just 17 years old. She started her senior career with Bristol City in 2017, featuring in the 2017/18 WSL season, before making the switch to Reading in 2018.

Woodham was loaned to Charlton Athletic in the FA Women’s Championship, returning to Berkshire and earning her place in the Reading side. She played for Wales at Under 17 and Under 19 levels before winning her first cap for the national team in 2020. Lily captained Reading for the 2023/2024 season in the championship, showing great leadership in a 0-0 draw against Charlton at the start of September.
