D’Ath’s Story:
His story began when he joined up with our youth system in 2005, having been spotted whilst playing as a youngster in Whitney, aged just 12.

At 18-years-old he had already proven his worth within our setup, having scored 17 goals in 22 appearances for the U18s and reserve sides, he also netted on frequent occasions at Academy level too.

Having been handed a squad number in the previous year, D’Ath went onto gain plenty of first team experience during the 2011/12 season by travelling with the squad to numerous away games, and appeared on the bench for the Carling Cup tie against Torquay United.

He eventually made his Madejski Stadium bow in January of that season, in our only FA Cup fixture at home to Stevenage.

Brian McDermott introduced the Academy graduate as replacement for Shaun Cummings late on in the tie, although a first-half strike from the Boro was enough for them to seal the victory.

That was to be D’Ath’s one and only appearance in blue and white hoops, going on to see out loan spells at Yeovil, Cheltenham, Exeter and Dagenham and Redbridge, before being released by the Royals in May 2014.

Beyond the hoops:

Upon release, D’Ath went on to have trials with Bristol Rovers before joining League Two side Northampton Town on a free in July.

D'Ath finished the 2015-16 season with four goals from 46 appearances; a brace of those goals came on his debut – a Capital One Cup match against Wolves where D’Ath’s strikes led the way to a 3-2 victory at Molineux. As a Cobbler, he won promotion to the third tie

On 6th January 2017, D'Ath signed a one-and-a-half-year contract with League Two club Luton Town for an undisclosed fee, with the option of a one-year extension.
