Fosu‘s Story:
Combining a wealth of skill and acceleration with the ball at his feet, Fosu originally made his impression for the Royals in an U16s friendly against Watford at Madejski stadium in May 2012.

The following season, he played regularly for the U18s as a first year scholar as they made their way to the Barclay’s Premier League Final in May against Fulham. He also had an impact within the U21s setup, making a handful of substitute appearances.

Juggling the following season with both the U18s and U21s, he was a regular within the side that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-final.

Furthermore, he was part of Martin Kuhl’s U21s side that clinched victory and lifted the first ever Premier League Cup – scoring the vital first goal in our second leg fixture against Manchester city at Madejski stadium.

Last season, Fosu was again part of an award winning U21s side. He played a steady role in the team’s promotion winning campaign, gaining Premier League Division One status as runners-up to Middlesbrough.

On the final day of the season, the 19-year-old up was called up for a spot amongst the substitute’s bench during the first team’s trip away to Derby County.

An early injury blow for Jack Stacey made way for Fosu to make his Reading bow, and a staggeringly impressive performance led to many singing the midfielder’s praises.

Fosu spent loan spells at Fleetwood Town and play-off challengers Accrington Stanley in 2015-16 before spending the 2016-17 season on loan with Colchester United in League Two.
