A defender cultured within our own Academy, Odimayo debuted for the senior team away at Home Park, playing the full 90 minutes against Plymouth in the opening round of the League Cup in August 2019.
A heavy presence as part of the Under-23's set-up for the previous two seasons, he was part of the squad that took on Bayern Munich in the Premier League International Cup in April 2019, as well as Newcastle in a winner-takes-all clash for Premier League 2 promotion towards the end of that term.
A young defensive line then travelled south as part of the first-team to take on Plymouth in the Carabao Cup the following August – Odimayo lining up in the centre of defence along side Teddy Howe, Gabe Osho and Jordan Obita, becoming the club’s 53rd player to graduate from Reading’s Academy ranks as he debuted for the Royals on the road.
Hungerford Town is where he furthered his footballing journey by joining the National League side on a youth loan deal until the end of October 2019.
