Date of birth
Reading-born Loader joined the Royals as an Under-13 player in 2012, having previously been with Wycombe Wanderers.
He soon became one of an elite group of Royals to represent the senior squad at the age of 16 when he debuted from the bench against Millwall in the second round of the Carabao Cup in August 2017.
He joined Jordan Obita and Peter Castle as players to have come through the current incarnation of the Academy and make a senior appearance before his 17th birthday.
As well as being a mainstay of the youth teams at Hogwood Park for a number of years, Loader has also been a regular on international duty.
Debuting as an England international at Under-16 level, he would go on to form part of the squad which finished runners-up in the European Championships in Croatia in May 2017. He then received his first Under-18 call-up in August 2017.
He only became a scholar with the Royals in the 2016-17 campaign, and after playing a small part in U18s football, he was quickly elevated to become a permanent fixture in the Under-23 squad during our Premier League 2 campaign.
It wasn’t long before more senior appearances were to follow; netting his first goal for the Royals on the final away day of 2018-19 against Middlesbrough, after making 22 first team appearances in the Championship that season.
