A forward with Italian Pedigree, Lucas Boyé joined the Royals on loan from Torino for the 2019-20 season.
Born in San Gregorio, Argentina, Boyé first emerged as a young professional at River Plate - he made his Primera División bow in a 1–1 draw against Gimnasia y Esgrima and four days later he scored his first goal, helping River Plater to a 3–1 win over San Lorenzo.
He spent the 2015-16 season on loan with fellow Primera División side Newell's Old Boys before moving to Europe to join Torino in 2016.
He scored on debut in Turin, helping his new club secure a 4-1 Coppa Italia win at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, and his Serie A bow came in the San Siro against AC Milan.
A loan stint in La Liga began in January 2018, joining Celta Vigo until the end of the Spanish season, and Lucas got his first taste of European competition when he featured for AEK Athens in the Champions League during 2018-19.
During his loan spell in the Greek capital, he played against Bayern Munich, Ajax and Benfica in the group stages of that years' competition and earned a third-placed finish in the league to qualify for this season’s Europa League.
Boyé now joins the Royals ranks on loan for 2019-20 and debuted at the KCOM away to Hull in August, taking the number 18 shirt in RG2.
