Versatile midfielder Leandro Bacuna joined the Royals from Championship rivals, Aston Villa, in the summer of 2017.
The Curaçao international was born in Groningen in the Netherlands, and made his debut for his hometown team in the Eredivisie, after coming through the youth setup there.
More than 100 appearances later and four years of experience under his belt, Bacuna made the trip over to England and joined Aston Villa.
Even though he plies his trade in central midfield, he was played at full-back for a significant proportion of his time at Villa Park, with his run in the Midlands continuing until he was signed by the Royals in August 2017.
He announced himself to the RG2 faithful with a superb strike in the Carabao Cup against Millwall, firing in from 25 yards on only his second start for the club.
A sterling first season followed for Bacuna, playing in a variety of positions and providing a valuable outlet for the Royals wherever he found himself on the pitch.
