Andries Ulderink

Assistant Manager

Reading Football Club appointed Andries Ulderink as Assistant First Team manager in June 2016.

An experienced Dutch coach, who has been the manager of a number of Dutch sides - including Go Ahead Eagles, De Graafschap and Rohda Raalte - during a long coaching career career, joined fellow Dutchman Jaap Stam in the home dugout in the summer of 2016.

Ulderink came from a non-playing background, beginning his coaching career in amateur clubs in the ‘Achterhoek’ region of the Netherlands before joining De Graafschap as an assistant coach. He went on to head up the youth system with the Superboeren and took the Head Coach role in 2011.

He arrived in Reading following a number of years working at Jong Ajax and spent 2016-17 loudly barking instructions from the touchline during first team matches whilst calmly organising the players and the training routine throughout the week.
