Dave Beasant

Goalkeeping coach

Dave Beasant arrived as Reading in June 2015 and brought with him a wealth of experience to the role of Goalkeeping Coach.

A former England international, he was part of Bobby Robson's World Cup squad in 1990 and clocked up more than 750 career appearances as a player.

He is well known for making the first ever FA Cup final penalty save from John Aldridge in 1988, captaining Wimbledon to the unlikeliest of FA Cup wins.

In addition, he can count Newcastle, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest amongst his former employers.

He has since carved out a successful coaching career, and joined the Royals directly from Stevenage where he had helped the side to the League 2 play-offs in 2014/15.
