Steven Reid joined our coaching staff in June 2015, having retired from playing the previous summer after a single season on the books at Burnley.

On his arrival to the staff at Hogwood Park, he was in the process of studying for his UEFA 'A' Licence.  Alongside that, he added a wealth of experience as a player, winning 23 Ireland caps and travelling with them to the World Cup in 2002.

Reid began his playing career at south London club Millwall – making his professional debut aged 17. He went on to play 166 times for the Lions and also gained the first of his Ireland caps whilst at The Den, before moving to the Premier League to join Blackburn Rovers in 2003. Reid turned out over 100 times in the top flight for Rovers, and went on to captain Ireland against the Netherlands whilst at Ewood Park.

He then enjoyed four successful seasons at West Brom, including their highest-ever League finish in 2013.
