Half Season Tickets - FAQ

Half Season Tickets will go on sale from Wednesday 15th November. Fans can purchase online, phone the Ticket Office on 0118 968 1313 or visit us in person at the Main Ticket Office. 

11 home league games are included in the half season ticket which starts from the Birmingham City match on Tuesday 2nd January 2018.

If you are a Member Card Holder who has purchased for 3 or more home league games this season then you will qualify for the offer.

If any of the ‘family’ does not qualify for the loyalty discount then and additional £10 will be added to the cost for each adult and £5 for each child that does not qualify. For example, if a father and 2 children qualify for the loyalty discount and want to bring mother who doesn’t qualify then they will pay £390 + £10 which is the difference between the loyalty price for an adult and the standard adult price.

Yes, apart from the family area which will need to be purchased directly through the Ticket Office.

The child needs to be a minimum of 4 years old based on the age they are on 2nd January 2018 to claim their own seat, however under-5s are entitled to be carried through the turnstiles if they then sit on the parents/guardian’s lap during the match.

7 & Under Half Season Tickets are not available online and need to be claimed at the time of purchasing a full priced non-child Half Season Ticket (one per person).  We also only have a limited number available and may withdraw the offer at any time. 

Becoming a Half Season Ticket Holder will give you access to our Royals Rewards Scheme.

Supporters in the following categories will receive a welcome bonus:

  • Adults: 1000
  • 65 & Over: 750
  • 18-24: 500
  • 8-17: 500

Please note, these points may not be added until 2nd January when the Half Season Ticket begins. This is also when you will gain access to the Royals Rewards portal.

Yes, Zebra will be offering a 4 month installment plan that will include a 7% interest fee.  

We will be offering a form which supporters will be able to download or collect from the Ticket Office. The form then needs to be returned to the Ticket Office. We advise supporters to do this in person so we can discuss the available seating options. The latest you can apply for finance for a half season ticket will be 5pm Friday 15th December 2017. 

Existing full 2017/18 Season Ticket Holders who successfully refer a new Half Season Ticket holder will receive bonus Royals Rewards points as well as e-cash added to their account.  

Referral Scheme

  • We will be operating a referral scheme to help drive attendance.
  • We will be offering existing Season Ticket Holders the chance to receive rewards points and ecash.

Referral Scheme Terms & Conditions

  1. A referral can only be made by an existing 2017/18 Season Ticket Holder.
  2. Referrals can only be made through the survey monkey link on our website
  3. No money will be paid for any 7 & Under referrals
  4. Ticket Office staff will contact referred supporters if they do not contact the Office first.
  5. If the referral is successful, the referrer will be credited with their bonus by the end of December.
  6. There is no limit on the amount of referrals that can be made by each existing 2017/18 Season Ticket Holder
  7. The referral scheme can be withdrawn at any stage
  8. If a new customer has been referred by multiple Referrers, the Referrer who first provided Reading FC with contact details will be rewarded
  9. The referral fee will be awarded to the referrer on full payment to Reading FC by the new customer
  10. The customer referral scheme is not open to Reading FC staff
  11. In the event of any disputes regarding any referrals the decision of Reading FC is final and cannot be challenged

We have availability in the corners of the Eamonn Dolan, West and East stands at all heights.

We have severely limited availability in central blocks.

If you are interested in purchasing a Half Season Ticket then we advise you to do this as early as possible for a greater availability of seats, we also reserve the right to cap the amount of Half Season Tickets sold and to go off sale at any point. 

We will go off sale with half season tickets at 5pm on Friday 29th December, however reserve the right to go off sale earlier. 

Half season tickets will be posted and will start arriving from Tuesday 12th December onwards. From 9am on 12th December supporters will be able to take their card away with them if purchasing from the Ticket Office.

Half Season Tickets can be requested to be left for collection, but will not be available until Tuesday 12th December.

Your Half Season Ticket will then be activated ready for Birmingham City on Tuesday 2nd January 2018. Your new Half Season Ticket will not work at the Burton Albion match on Saturday 23rd December. 

If we post your Half Season Ticket we are unable to guarantee posting it to a different person and advise you request for the Half Season Ticket to be left for collection from the Main Ticket Office from Tuesday 12th December.

If you are purchasing a Half Season Ticket as a present we are also unable to guarantee a confirmation email will not be sent to the Half Season Ticket Holder. The purchase will also be listed on a supporter's purchase history which can be viewed on their account online.

Concessionary age bands for Half Season Tickets are calculated based on the age you are on 2nd January 2018.

Regular checks are made of concession ticket usage at the turnstiles. Any supporters purchasing age related concession prices are advised to bring a form of identification with them to the match. Staff may challenge anyone considered not to be a genuine concession and request proof of age. 

Misuse of this Season Ticket may result in the holder being refused entry to, or ejected from the ground in respect of a particular match and/or the cancellation and withdrawal of their Season Ticket. For full terms and conditions please visit

Yes, Half Season Ticket holders will be able to upgrade their ticket a maximum of 3 times + evening games.

They can do this by phoning the ticket office on 0118 968 1313 or visiting the Ticket Office and paying the appropriate upgrade fee. Supporters are advised to do this in advance of matchday to avoid matchday queues.

Unfortunately we have sold out of wheelchair bays.  However please contact Paul Collins, our Disabled Liaison Officer, on 0118 968 1017 to be added to our waiting list. We have a small number of wheelchair bays available on a match by match basis.

We have sold out of seasonal parking permits within our red car park and disabled car park.  We are operating a waiting list for both which you can join by contacting our Ticket Office and paying £10. However, this will be refunded to you if you are offered a permit in the future.

We do have availability in the Old Greyhound Stadium which is around 5-10 minutes walk.  A car park permit is £95 for the second half of the season and can be purchased by phoning the Ticket Office or online. 

Please phone the Ticket Office on 0118 968 1313 or visit the office and we will be able to replace your card. There is a £5 administration cost. 

Yes you will be able to do this.

If the new Half Season Ticket holder is doing this on your behalf they will need a letter or email from yourself confirming that you give permission to have your seat moved.

The letter/email will need to include the following information:

  • Name
  • Member ID
  • Address
  • Date of birth

Upon receipt of this information, we will move your Season Ticket in to the new seat.

Your letter can be sent to Reading Football Club Ticket Office, Madejski Stadium, Junction 11 M4, Reading, Berkshire, RG2 0FL, emailed to, or hand delivered to the Ticket Office at the stadium.
