It was a day at Upton Park that would live long in the memory, as Reading put daylight between themselves and fellow promotion chasers West Ham United, with a vital and enthralling 4-2 win at the Boleyn Ground.

But Reading would turn the tide on the hosts, with Sam Allardyce's men put to the sword by goals from Kaspars Gorkss, Noel Hunt, Ian Harte and Mikele Leigertwood seeing the Royals emerge with three vital points on the day.
