It has been our shortest summer… but by no means our least eventful. Just 52 days after our last league season came to an end, the 2020-21 Sky Bet Championship campaign kicks off in Derby.
It will be the first time that Veljko Paunović will take the team in competitive action; he watched on from isolation a week ago when we beat Colchester United in the Carabao Cup.
Pauno and his new coaching staff are faced with the prospect of picking a side and setting a strategy which will get the better of the Rams this weekend as we visit Pride Park.
We’ve already visited Derby once behind closed doors – they were our first away-day when football restarted in June. We suffered defeat that day… we’ll want to put the record straight when we return.
By way of reminder, all supporters who wish to watch our games at the start of the 2020-21 will need to purchase an iFollow Match Pass.
Priced at £10 for fans in the UK and Ireland, it’s your ticket to see the main event – and to watch on your computer, tablet or phone.
Make sure you also get hold of the new EFL iFollow app if you want to watch on your iOS or Android device.
A polite reminder to all of our supporters that no unauthorised access at all will be permitted to any of our home or away fixtures while games remain behind closed doors, so supporters must not travel to stadia on matchdays. All supporters have the opportunity to watch via iFollow.
We can’t wait to see you all soon – but for now it’s important that when we play, please stay away.
