The draws for both Round Two and Three of the Carabao Cup will take place this Sunday 6th September, at approximately 2pm.
It will be conducted live on Sky Sports at 2pm, shortly after the final whistle is sounded on the televised game between Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers.
Our 3-1 win on Saturday was the perfect start to the season; it means we’re in the hat for at least one more match on Tuesday 15th September. Lucas João bagged three terrific goals to seal our spot.
But it’s not just the next stage which will be revealed this weekend… each of the next two rounds will be decided.
The Round Two draw remains regionalised – we’ve been given ball number 20 in the southern draw, with our 23 potential opponents include the like of neighbours Oxford and Wycombe and Premier League sides from this end of the country which aren’t competing in Europe.
And straight after the two regionalised draws are complete for Round Two, the Round Three draw takes place.
Each tie drawn in the Round Two will be given a number, in the order that they come out of the hat. And those numbers will be drawn again to give the Round Three pairings – which includes the seven top-tier clubs competing in the Champions League and Europa League.
So that means everyone has a clearer picture of what’s at stake for their Second Round match!
Round Two ties are scheduled to take place on Tuesday 15th September, and Round Three is due to take place a week later.
