Bio

Ince first signed with the Royals on Deadline Day in January 2022, agreeing a six-month long loan switch from Championship rivals Stoke City.

He arrived in Berkshire with over 400 career appearances behind him, having represented not only the Potters, but the likes of Blackpool, Derby County and Huddersfield Town.

A player with a proven goalscoring record in the Championship, Ince also plied his trade in the top-flight for a handful of seasons, scoring on the biggest stages, for Crystal Palace, Hull City and the Terriers.

A former-England youth international, Ince's move to Reading saw him link up with once fellow Three Lion, John Swift, and ex-Crystal Palace teammate, Scott Dann, and he made his debut for the Royals in the West Country as we took on Bristol City.

Following the arrival of his father Paul as manager, Tom scored a spectacular goal to salvage a point away to promotion chasing AFC Bournemouth. He became a key player during the run in that saw the Royals successfully avoid relegation.

After his Stoke contract expired in the summer of 2022, he quickly put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Reading.

In his first permanent season with the Royals, Ince made 39 appearances and scored nine goals - tied as top goalscorer with Andy Carroll.

The midfielder was awarded the Men's Player of the Season and Vice Presidents' Player of the Season awards for the 2022-23 season.
